Develop Financial Literacy
The Little Money Bible, Stuart Wilde
“The difference between the tramp and the millionaire is an almost imperceptible shift in consciousness and vitality. You can make an upward shift simply and easily. You can learn to be more open, and place yourself in the flow while learning the subtle laws of money and abundance, so that life’s opportunities come to you more naturally.” ~ Stuart Wilde
Wilde presents each law conceptually, offers metaphysical reasoning behind them, and offers actionable steps for each as well. I’ve tried to encapsulate them here for you. Please read them carefully, think about them, and try to imagine how you can apply the actions for each law in a way that serves well.
Concept of Law One: Society has taught us that we live in a world of lack and uncertainty, which leads us to a fearful and fixed mindset, flawed thinking, a poor self-image, and guilt and resentments about money. It’s hard to align with money without unlearning old constructs or if we think that it’s negative or evil.
Metaphysics of Law One: Understand that there is no lack in the universe, that money is continually circulating in the world, and isn’t hard to obtain, then you can more readily prepare yourself to attune to it.
Actions of Law One: Go to places where wealthy people hang out and observe them without judgment. If you notice yourself becoming angry or jealous, ask yourself why you feel that way, then write it down in rich detail to better understand yourself and your triggers.
Concept of Law Two: Flow is natural; look a nature as a reminder. You are rich in thought, spirit, and gratitude. Once you realize this, the calmer you’ll become will help you get more organized and ready to receive your blessing when they arrive (you won’t be so distracted).
Metaphysics of Law Two: As you begin to ease, you will attune and operate to your true feelings and intuition. When an opportunity doesn’t feel right, you will naturally let it pass. You will start to meet the right people.
Actions of Law Two: Meditate, practice gratitude daily, use creative visualizations to envision what you want, and go and meet new people every day. Step out of your comfort zone and trust your feelings. Release anyone who stands in your way with love.
Concept of Law Three: We often have a love-hate relationship with money. We are distant emotionally, intellectually, and physically.
Metaphysics of Law Three: Do the inner work by learning how to process your feelings, examine your misbeliefs, improve your knowledge base, meet more people, and come to inner peace through self-inquiry.
Actions of Law Three: Set aside quiet time to list your feelings and attitude about money. Establish your core beliefs. Write down your financial goals. Carefully examine them by looking for contraindications between your dreams and core beliefs.
Concept of Law Four: Money is a neutral symbol of appreciation. For you to make money, you must deliver your energy to serve others. There is no other way to make money other than helping others’ needs with either service, knowledge, or products.
Metaphysics of Law Four: Become disciplined and transcend your bad habits and shortcomings. Meditate on how you can more readily subjugate your ego to serve the needs of others enthusiastically. In time you will develop your uniqueness that the competition can’t emulate fully.
Actions of Law Four: Write down the services you offer and a few more you may provide in the future. How can you uniquely deliver them? How can you provide your services and resonate higher energy, attention to detail, care, love, or quality?
Concept of Law Five: Affirming that you are grateful and abundantly serve will help dampen your ego and any negative possibilities of lack.
Metaphysics of Law Five: Consolidate your power by focusing on self-improvement. Make sleep a priority, make time to exercise daily, meditate, and create more order in your life. Get rid of clutter; from order comes higher energy and clarity.
Actions of Law Five: Make a concerted effort each day that contributes to your money-making endeavors. Plan out your deals, create your presentations, and master the details. Build one day upon another. Opportunities arise when you take consistent action.
Concept of Law Six: Invoke what you want from the universe by stating it out loud daily. State what you are willing to do in exchange for receiving these blessings.
Metaphysics of Law Six: You program your subconscious mind through the power of auto-suggestion. Invoke positively and don’t engage in idle or negative self speak.
Actions of Law Six: Set aside a specific time or multiple times a day to speak out loud about what is in store for you. Create affirmations. Align your positive thoughts with your words and your actions.
Concept of Law Seven: The ego has evolved to keep you alive and create an identity. Learning to detach from your ego’s needs for attention and admirers, you become free.
Metaphysics of Law Seven: Learning to detach from viewing money as a status symbol, you disempower the ego. You become less serious and have more fun. Money can become a tool to fuel your creativity and serve others.
Actions of Law Seven: Get rid of possessions that you don’t need. Sell them, give them to someone in need, and return to a simple life with less clutter. Toss out negative emotions surrounding money and restore your inner child.
Concept of Law Eight: Don’t focus on money. Instead, support people emotionally. Emotional support costs you nothing but energy, but since your base is now more robust, you have plenty to share.
Metaphysics of Law Eight: Give to others silently. Project your love, peace, and calmness to others with your body language, thoughts, prayers, and actions.
Actions of Law Eight: Keep a gratitude journal and acknowledge your abundance or some gratitude practice of your own. Learn to accept all gifts and positive energy from others. Giving and receiving are two sides of the same coin.
Concept of Law Nine: Understand that your mistakes and shortcomings are lessons that serve you. You can improve from within by merely accepting the insights that trial and error provide and making the necessary changes.
Metaphysics of Law Nine: You can’t hide from your truth as it reveals itself with time. Accept your shortcomings and from others. Put aside your judgments and opinions.
Actions of Law Nine: Forgive quickly and change your behavior for the better. Atonement is the act of making good. If you need to offer an apology, well wishes, or repay others, then do so. To err is human.
Concept of Law Ten: Money, love, and compassion are closely linked. Self-love and inner security are essential. Money flows to security and away from insecurity.
Metaphysics of Law Ten: Go within yourself to build your inner power instead of relying on others’ energy to sustain you. Make practicing self-love through discipline a staple of your life. Eventually, you will create a surplus of energy that you can willfully supply to others.
Actions of Law Ten: Do something for yourself every day. Collect skills and memories instead of possessions. Share your gifts with others. Be light in all that you do. Keep to the simple.
This book touches more on the topic of esoteric money and learning how to examine and address emotional/spiritual blockages we may have that could be preventing us from aligning to it properly. The simple action steps can help us examine ourselves and look within to find solutions more closely.
